In a Florida town where hardship and struggle have afflicted generations, hopes for the future are concentrated on the young. PAHOKEE is a poetic observation that follows four youth ascending from heartbreak and relishing in the joyous rites of passage that serve as their send-off from the only town they call home.

PJ Raval is a producer and director whose credits include TRINIDAD(Showtime), BEFORE YOU KNOW IT(PBS), and his latest feature documentary CALL HER GANDA which is supported by the Ford Foundation, Arcus, Bertha Foundation, Sundance Film Institute, Fork Films, and the Tribeca Film Institute. PJ is also an award winning cinematographer whose credits include the Academy Award nominated Best Documentary TROUBLE THE WATER. He is a 2015 Guggenheim fellow, 2016 Firelight Media Fellow, and 2017 Robert Giard Fellow.

Maida Lynn is the Executive Producer of The Send-Off and the Co-Producer of The Rabbit Hunt, the sole American short film in competition for the 2017 Golden Berlin Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. Her credits as Executive Producer include Sam Green's live documentary, A Thousand Thoughts (Sundance 2017).
Director, Producer
Patrick Bresnan, an Austin-based visual artist and filmmaker, directed the award-winning short documentary The Send-Off (2016) with his partner Ivete Lucas. Their short The Rabbit Hunt (2017) premiered at Sundance and won over 20 awards. Roadside Attraction, a documentary short he co-directed with Lucas, premiered at TIFF in 2017.

Ivete Lucas was born in Brazil and began her film career in Mexico. Her short documentary The Send-Off premiered at Sundance 2016 and won jury awards at SXSW, AFI Fest and SFFILM. She is the producer and editor of 2018 Cinema Eye Best Documentary Short The Rabbit Hunt (2017).
