Nehad Khader is a filmmaker, curator, and editor. She is senior program manager of Philly’s BlackStar Film Festival and was founding curator of DC’s Palestinian Film & Arts Festival for six years. In addition to directing UNBOWED, she is producing two films about Islamophobia by director David Felix Sutcliffe ((T)ERROR).
UNBOWED is the untold life story of an iconic seventy-year-old revolutionary. Surviving a lifetime of resistance, torture and prisoner exchanges, she restarts her life in the aftermath of a political deportation.
