Gene Cajayon attended film school at Loyola Marymount University, where he began work on his first feature film,. A coming-of-age story about a Filipino American familly. The film grossed $1.8 million through a grassroots, self-distribution campaign that targeted both Asian Pacific American and mainstream communities through traditional and new media marketing tactics.received a traditional deal with Sony Pictures. Cajayon is curerntly developing two feature length screenplays--Glass Street and Saturday Morning Christmas.
